The Hanna Ammonia Medium Range Checker HC (Handheld Colorimeter) - HI715 is a simple, accurate, and cost-effective way to measure ammonia in water.
It is specifically designed for the measurement of ammonia in the range of 0.00 to 9.99 ppm (mg/L). The Checker HC is based on the Nessler method, which is a well-established and reliable method for the measurement of ammonia.

The Hanna Ammonia Medium-Range Checker HC bridges the gap between simple chemical test kits and professional instrumentation.
Chemical test kits have limited accuracy and resolution since they rely upon the human eye to discern differences in colour.
Professional instrumentation incorporates a light source such as an LED or tungsten lamp with a filter and a light sensing detector to precisely determine absorbance and ion concentration. Professional instrumentation offers greater resolution and accuracy but can cost hundreds of dollars.
The Hanna Ammonia Medium-Range Checker uses a fixed wavelength LED and silicon photo detector to provide the accuracy of professional instrumentation at the affordable price of a chemical test kit.

The Checker HC is easy to use and requires no calibration.
Simply add the supplied reagents to the sample water, and the Checker HC will display the ammonia concentration in ppm (mg/L) on its backlit LCD screen.
The Checker HC is also portable and battery-powered, making it ideal for field use.

Produced in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility using reagent grade chemicals in a temperature controlled environment.
